30 March 2007. We have been informed by Bath Cats & Dogs Home that Duke has very sadly passed away. Sleep tight Duke.
Note: Duke’s age has been updated 6/7/2006.
This is Duke; he is a Rottweiler that was brought to the Bath Cats & Dogs Home in May 2003, after living with a family for all his life; as there was a death in the family and they were unable to cope.
Duke is a eleven year old, black and tan, castrated male. He is super dog that is very affectionate and has a great nature and temperament once he gets to know you.
He is quite independent and hates being groomed and will always give clear warning when he doesn’t like something or someone. He needs an experienced owner that has a quiet home without children and not too many visitors to spook him.
He loves going for short walks, is rather strong on the lead but is good off the lead. He goes lame occasionally on his front feet due to painful toes. He is still an active lad though and gets on with other canines but can get a bit OTT when playing.
He loves his home comforts and is looking for a nice warm home preferably on a one-to-one basis.
Can you offer Duke a new home? Are you an experienced dog owner that can resume this poor dog’s life after what must be a sad situation for him?
If you are interested in offering Duke a permanent loving home, please contact the Bath Cats & Dogs Home on 01225 466129 or email enquiries@bathcatsanddogshome.co.uk.
Please mention you saw Duke on the Oldies Club website. You will need to visit BCDH to meet Duke and go through the rescue’s usual adoption procedure.
