21/10/2005 Flora has a new loving home – for good this time. :-)
Flora had a home offer, but it fell through, and she now desperately needs somewhere to go.
Flora is at least 12 years old, a female tortoiseshell moggy.
Update 22/9/2005 Flora has had her surgery to remove her thyroid gland, and is now a normal well adjusted little old lady. She no longer requires any medication or special needs care other than a warm bed and a full bowl, and somewhere to sit in peace to live out her days.
Update 31/8/2005Flora is doing very well on her medication and is gaining weight steadily. She has been dematted and is now eating & drinking normally. She does not have many teeth left, and is enjoying being pampered!
Flora is hyperthyroid, which is a condition that will require long term treatment. She is currently on daily medication to control her condition, but curative surgery may be an option for the future.
She needs a quiet retirement home with someone able to medicate her twice per day and follow up treatment. Apart from her medical condition, all she needs is a warm cushion, a clean litter tray, and a dish of wet food.
She is slightly deaf and would prefer a calm, indoor home without stress or upset.
