Happy, waggy Monty loves company and gets on well with children. He is a 7yr old Cross Breed who was returned to
the RSPCA after 6 years as his owners were sadly unable to look after him any longer.

Monty isn’t too keen on other dogs and has never lived with a dog or a cat before. We feel that he would be happiest in a home without other cats and dogs, unless it was a very experienced home.

Monty is fine with children of all ages. At the moment, Monty has a bit of a tendancy to pull on the lead and he is not too good at coming when he is called, but he is certainly young enough to learn, and will probably respond well to training in a household where he feels he belongs to the family and has bonded properly with his owners.

Monty cannot be left for long periods, as he tends to become frustrated and nervous, and can be destructive if he is left on his own, so we are looking for a home for Monty where there is someone about during the day.

Oldies Club member Cindy says “I have met Monty and he was very friendly and waggy with me and all he wanted was to have a cuddle and some company.”

Monty is currently at RSPCA Newport Animal Centre, Ringland Way, Ringland, Llanwern, Nr Newport NP6 2LL
