Freddie is about 12 – 14 years old and a cream-coloured Shih Tsu. He was a stray and is now at The Ark on the Lincolnshire coast waiting for a new home.
On arrival, he was in a shockingly poor condition with a severe flea allergy and his mouth and teeth in a very bad state and fistula leading from gums to nasal passage. All this is now treated and he is in reasonable health for his age.
Nothing is known about Freddie’s past, but he doesn’t like being picked up and will bite if you try to do so. He just likes to potter around the courtyard and do his own thing.
Freddie tolerates people and other dogs and is fine with cats. He cannot be rehomed to live with children. He loves his food! He enjoys being brushed as long as you keep away from his rear end – he needs to be muzzled to be groomed and clipped.
The Ark staff were shocked by Freddie’s condition when he arrived and his treatment has cost a small fortune but they love him despite his crotchety nature.
Freddie has very sadly had to be put to sleep.
