2/6/08 – Poor Harold has sadly been put to sleep. LAA have told us that he’d been poorly and despite treatment his health declined, so they decided it was kinder to let him go. LAA are naturally upset, but are taking some comfort from the fact that Harold’s last few weeks were spent in the comfort of a foster home. Run free Harold!

Harold is an amazing 13 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who arrived at Leicester Animal Aid as a stray. Harold is sadly one of the rescue’s longest staying residents, so he’s desperate for a new family to call his own.

Despite his age, Harold is still very active and he enjoys having a good stroll out or a play with his toys in the garden.

Harold would be happy sharing his new home with another steady canine companion, but he would feel a bit overwhelmed by young children. An adult only household or one with teenagers would be much more suitable for him. Harold’s cat status isn’t known.

This lovely old fellow is a real unique character and he has so much to offer. He’s just worried that he’ll never find his forever home, because people don’t seem to be able to look past his age or his breed.

Please don’t let Harold spend the rest of his twilight years in kennels, he deserves so much more.

LAA will require a home visit prior to adoption and preference will be given to people living within the Midlands region.

Please mention that you saw Harold on the Oldies Club website.
