21 December 2010: Beautiful Brady has very sadly passed away. Our thoughts are with his loving foster family – we’re very grateful to them for taking such great care of him. Sleep peacefully, Brady.

The beautiful Brady is a large Border Collie who has recently come into Oldies Club care and is now one of the charity’s sponsor dogs.

Brady was owned from a puppy by the same man. He was a much loved and cared for companion who won lots of trophies in working dog trials. When his owner sadly passed away, Brady was kept in the family for a few more years until his new owner was forced to leave him behind when she emigrated. That’s when Brady came into the care of Oldies Club.

Brady is now 13 years old. He’s deaf and doesn’t have great eyesight. His mobility is quite restricted and he’s got a few ominous lumps. Because of those issues the vet’s advice was not to re-home him so he’s staying with his lovely foster family, in Norfolk, for the rest of his days.

Brady has been prescribed anti-inflamatory pills to help with his mobility, they have had a good effect as he can move more easily now and, we hope, with less discomfort. He’s also had a course of anti-biotics recently to help him get over an upset tummy.

Having said all that Brady is a happy and contented dog. He shares his foster home with his two lady friends, Honey and Poppy. He has a good appetite and still loves to go for a walk every afternoon. Bliss for Brady is laying in front of the fire for a snooze in the evening.

Brady’s foster family say he has got a wonderful nature. Anyone can approach him and make a fuss of him, the more the better! He’s also very obedient and a pleasure to care for.
