1/6/10 Very sad news about old Jake. German Shepherd Rescue South has had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go. He was very unwell: he was collapsed, gums white, and the vet advised that he was shutting down and the kindest thing to do was to have him pts. Sleep tight handsome boy. :(

Jake is a 12 year old GSD X who is being rehomed by German Shepherd Rescue South. Poor Jake was dumped in a dogs home in NW England and was due to euthanised. He’s now safe in boarding kennels in Denham, Middlesex, and German Shepherd Rescue South would be delighted to hear from you if you could offer him either a foster or permanent home.
Jake is a very friendly boy who loves people. He is good with dogs too and could live with another dog. He might still try to chase a cat though! He would be happiest in a quiet, comfortable adult-only home.
This old boy has a heart murmur but doesn’t currently need any medication for it. His tail is missing too but it isn’t known what has happened to him. Jake is entire but due to his advanced age the rescue would not expect him to be neutered.
Jake really doesn’t deserve to spend his final years in kennels. Can you offer him a loving retirement home?
