5.1.2014 We are so sorry to hear that lovely Mollie has made her final journey. Here is a short tribute from her owner’s daughter:
“I thought I’d just drop you a line to let you know that Moli, one of your many rescue oldies made her final walkies to Rainbow Bridge today. At the age of around 15 she deteriorated rapidly over the last couple of months. My mum made the decision to have her put to sleep at home this morning before Moli had to endure any indignity or pain. The vet, who knew her well, agreed that Moli was certainly ready to go. She went to sleep very peacefully, surrounded by the people who love her.
What a happy end for an elderly lady who came through your caring hands. My Mum, of course, is devastated and will miss Moli’s presence greatly. Unfortunately she is not in a position to have another dog and so Moli will be the last. She fulfilled her job as a companion to my mum impeccably. She was always well mannered and good natured. When Mum moved to sheltered accommodation she was well known amongst the staff and residents and greatly admired. We are so pleased that we found out about The Oldies Club as we would never have had the opportunity to meet and keep Moli.”
Sleep tight gorgeous girl.

According to her Oldies Club foster Mum, Mollie the Collie has been a joy to foster and she settled in very quickly. She has been 100% clean in the house and has lived quite happily alongside another elderly male dog. The resident cats caused a little excitement, but Mollie still respected their space.
Out on walks Mollie has been very good off lead and never wandered far. She’s been good in the car too and doesn’t mind being left home alone for reasonable periods of time.
A very affectionate and loving girl, Mollie loves being groomed and she’s great with children. It’s not surprising that she wasn’t waiting very long and went off to her new home on 16th Nov :)
