This is Sonny and he’s a very handsome black short-haired boy who is in the care of National Animal Welfare Trust in Somerset.

Sonny is 12 years old and has been at the centre for seven years now. He lives on site along with the other site cats, but would love a special home of his own. He’d like somewhere he can have his own space and where any attention can be on his terms. He’s a friendly boy and likes to sit on your lap for fuss and attention, but can get a little dominant around people when he has had enough.

Sonny would ideally suit a rural home where he has space to wander, but where he can curl up on a comfy sofa in the evenings. He’d like to be the only pet in the household as he doesn’t like close contact with other cats. He may tolerate a visiting dog in time or any that are used to cats and won’t pay him too much attention. Sonny would like an adult only home because he doesn’t like to be pulled around and would like his senior years to be chilled out.
