Thank you SO much to everyone who has offered to help Snowy! He has now gone to his forever home.

Would you love to adopt an oldie but can’t commit to vet bills? Are you fairly active but have a quiet home and want companionship? Well here’s your chance to help a small oldie in urgent need…

Snowy

Snowy needs somewhere to go, urgently. He can only stay in his current foster home until October. We are therefore appealing to anyone that could offer him a permanent foster home to get in touch ASAP. A permanent foster home means that Snowy will stay with you for the rest of his life, as an Oldies Club sponsor dog, with all of his vet bills covered by the Oldies Club. He needs a quiet, child-free home where he is the only pet. Most of all he needs to be allowed to settle in his own time. He may be unsettled for several weeks, but once he has got used to his new home he will be a loving companion who is easy to care for.

Of course, if you want to offer Snowy a permanent home and are happy to cover vet bills yourself, we would be more than delighted to rehome him in the normal way; we are simply offering him as a sponsor dog because we want him to find a suitable home quickly.

Snowy came into our care 6 months ago and we haven’t had anyone wanting to adopt him. We are struggling to find a suitable foster home for him and we certainly don’t want to reach the position where we have to put this little old man into kennels. We are surprised that Snowy finds himself in this postion as he is a sweet and friendly boy who just wants someone to love.

Full details of Snowy, and more of Oliver Kanani’s wonderful photos of him, are on Snowy’s main website entry.

Note: Although it is OK for a small dog such as Snowy to play with a golf ball, it would be very dangerous for a larger dog as golf balls easily become lodged in the throat and cause choking.
