Peppy came into our care with her lifelong best friend, Fred, after the death of their owner. They sadly had nowhere else to go. Fred and Peppy went to an Oldies Club foster home in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. We advertised them for rehoming, explaining that Fred and Peppy were like an old married couple and needed to find a home together.
Sadly, after 7 happy weeks at the foster home, Peppy suddenly became ill and, despite the best efforts of her foster carer and the vets, Peppy had to be put to sleep. Her lovely foster carer was with her to the end.
Peppy was a sweet girl who, although slightly more aloof than Fred, was quite loveable. As long as she knew you were near, she was content. Peppy would have liked to play ball games with Fred but her little old legs wouldn’t allow her to.
Sweet dreams, Peppy, we’re sure that Fred is going to miss you.
