16/1/14 – We just heard the sad news that Reddie has lost his fight for life. He was very much loved in his foster home. Sleep tight, old boy.
—————————————

This dear old boy is Reddie and he is a 13 year old crossbreed (about the size of a Labrador) who spent most of his life on the street of Romania. Life on the streets has really taken it’s toll on this poor lad and he so deserves a loving home with all the comforts he has been missing. Reddie is being fostered through Safe Rescue.

Reddie is a calm, laid back boy who loves the company of humans. He is a sweet old boy who doesn’t ask for much in life, just a comfy, warm bed, some good food, space to relax and, of course, lots of cuddles! He is currently sharing his foster home with a pack of small dogs and seems a bit worried by them, as if he is afraid he could knock them over or hurt them, bless him. He would prefer any canine companion in his new home to be a larger dog, like himself!

Poor Reddie has arthritis and is on steroids for this. He can’t walk very far at the moment, so he would prefer a nice, flat garden where he can have a potter round. He is fine to be left alone for a few hours and will just curl up in his bed and sleep. He can live with older, respectful children.

We humans have a lot of making up to do for the sad life this dear, grateful lad has had. All Reddie wants for the rest of his life are some cuddles, and to finally enjoy those home comforts he missed in his early years. He is a real sweetheart who deserves to be with people who will give him lots of pampering and love.
