22/10/17 – Oscar sadly passed away. Run free lovely boy.
Poor Oscar has such a sad story. He came into the care of Carla Lane Animals in Need in Liverpool just recently and they were completely shocked and devastated with what they saw.
Oscar came in with a terrible skin infection which had clearly been left for a long time to the point where Oscar had starting biting himself. He is terribly underweight and had badly overgrown nails. The rescue was told that the owner had passed away but this was not the case and had just moved property.
Oscar is a 10 year old, black and tan German Shepherd. He still has so much love to give and loves nothing more than a cuddle on his couch. He really enjoys his walks and it is a pleasure to do so. However, sometimes he will bark at another dog but will listen to a firm voice.
Oscar is looking for a pet-free home with no children as he deserves one-to-one attention and will thrive. He is now on medication for the skin infection and vets are doing further tests to see if there is anything else that needs to be done. The vets also pointed out that, although he is an older boy, Oscar’s hips and joints seem in really good condition. Any future medical costs at all will be completely covered by Cara Lane Animal Rescue.
