23/05/18 – Bernie passed away. At least he was happy in foster, stealing other dogs’ beds, until the end. Run free little Bernie!
Bernie is an adorable little old man of at least 10 years. He’s a characterful crossbreed, probably part Jack Russell or Yorkshire Terrier. He’s in foster care in Essex through All Animals Rescue and Rehome, where he enjoys making himself comfy in other dogs’ beds…
Bernie is good with most other dogs and could happily live in a multi-dog home or as an only dog. He hasn’t been cat tested and being at least a bit of a Terrier, it’s probably best he steers clear.
Bernie is very shy at first but once he knows you, he’s a fantastically cuddly little guy and will love taking you for walks. He is fine to be left for short periods and is perfectly clean in the house.
As you can see Bernie is strikingly handsome. He’s also a rewarding little lad to have around. He can be quite stubborn and does like to get his own way, so an experienced owner is preferred.
Bernie needs an adult only home, due to his initially timid nature he is not suitable to live with children. All in all, Bernie is a big character in a dinky body. He’s always happy and very affectionate once you’ve gained his trust.
Bernie is neutered, microchipped, flea/worm treated and has had a dental. Being an older lad his sight and hearing is failing, but he is the sweetest little chap. Feisty and full of life!
