2/2/19 – Jasper has found a home

Jasper is an 8 year old Springer who is with South Yorkshire English Springer Spaniel Rescue due to a change in his owner’s situation which meant that Jasper was being left alone for long periods. This was making Jasper very unhappy and he protested by barking.

Jasper is a lovely friendly boy with people and he enjoys walks and cuddles. He can be grumpy with dogs he doesn’t know, especially if they jostle him. He has cataracts, resulting in poor eyesight, so maybe this is why he is uncomfortable around new dogs. SYESSR have been walking him with other dogs without issue, but it will be something his new owner needs to take into account. Ideally, Jasper will be an only dog in his new home, but he may settle with an steady bitch who won’t bother him too much. He obviously needs a home where he will not be left for long periods as this is something he is not happy about.

Jasper enjoys playing ball, but the ball needs to be thrown in clear areas so that he can see it. He is still a lively boy as you can see in the following video:

Could you offer handsome Jasper a wonderful new home?
