Lizzie is a bright and lively, 9 year old Staffy cross in the care of Loving Homes Dog Rescue. She’s sharing a foster home with other dogs in the Scottish Borders while she waits for her perfect forever home. One where she’ll have company most of the time and any time left alone can be built up gradually.
Although good with the other dogs, she has been known to bark at them when they’re playing boisterously, so she’d probably be happiest either with one other calm dog or as an only dog.
She doesn’t get on with cats and small furries but she will respect horses, when she’s told to!
Lizzie love humans, including youngsters and she could live with older children. In fact, she’d enjoy having younger ones around but, they could get bowled over by her bouncy enthusiasm. So bigger ones are better for her.
Lizzie is such a sunny, outgoing girl that she’d like to tell you more in her own words…
“I love going on walks! I can get a little excited because there’s just so much to see and explore. I love it when we find a stream as I like to jump in and splash. It’s so much fun! I walk on the lead great, my human is also using a harness and we are trying a figure of 8 lead which is going really well. My recall isn’t 100% as I can get distracted by all the amazing smells but we are working really hard on this.
“I love to play with toys! I enjoy a rope toy and a ball. I don’t take much grooming but I really enjoy a shower as this is so much fun. The best bit is getting dried with the towel! I enjoy meal times and love my treats in-between. I tend to sleep on the humans’ bed as I love my comforts, we are experimenting with a crate for night time but I like being in the same room as my humans.”
Lizzie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and really lovely!
