12/4/19 – Max has gone to his new home!
Max is a gorgeous 10 year old Belgian Shepherd Cross who is being rehomed by Adopt a Dog North East and is in a foster home in Durham. The rescue would like to rehome him fairly locally – within 50 miles of Durham – if at all possible.
Max is looking for an active retirement home as he is still super-fit and healthy, bless him. He is in foster with a mix of other dogs, but in his last home he was not getting along with the resident dog so the rescue is looking to rehome him as an only dog. He is living with a dog-friendly cat, so could potentially live with cats, but he isn’t used to children.
Max is sensitive, intelligent and very loyal. He prefers to not be left alone and loves to go out on car journeys with you whenever he can. Max walks well on lead with his Halti, and ideally needs to be walked on the lead – unless he’s lucky enough to go to live on a farm and could have walkies on his own land.
Max’s ideal home would be with people who are experienced with Belgian Shepherds and live in a quiet area as Max hates loud bangs like gun shots and fireworks. A farm (where there is no shooting) or somewhere off the beaten track with land would be ideal for him. He is protective of his property so would make a good companion for someone living alone.
Could you offer Max the companionship and affection he craves?
