31/3/19 – We are so pleased to hear that beautiful Robyn has found a new home!
———–
Robyn is a heart-meltingly beautiful 9-year-old German Shepherd girl who is being rehomed by RSPCA Macclesfield SE Cheshire & Buxton Branch but is kennelled at RSPCA Chesterfield in Derbyshire.
Robyn has come from very unusual circumstances – she is from the same home as Mary. She spent a couple of months in emergency boarding kennels after her owner died. There were 9 German Shepherds living in the property and tragically they were with their deceased owner’s body. The dogs were sent to different RSPCA branches for rehabilitation and rehoming and they are all doing well. None were aggressive in any way, which is extraordinary considering that a few were semi-feral as they had never been outside of the property. Robyn was one of the oldest and she must have had a normal life earlier on as she’s really not like the younger ones at all, so the situation must have started when the owner couldn’t manage a high number of dogs.
Despite this background, Robyn is a sweet girl who is very friendly once she knows you and she is lovely company to be around. She is looking for a quiet, steady home where she will have a comfortable life. She can be a little shy around new people at first, but she soon starts to trust.
Robyn has mixed well with other dogs at the centre and she obviously is used to living with other dogs. It isn’t known if she could live with cats. She should be fine to be around children of 10 years and over, but it wouldn’t be fair for her to live with young children.
Robyn is probably missing the company of her canine family and so she would benefit from living with another dog as that is all she has ever known.
Robyn is having joint supplements, and Metacam, for hip dysplasia.
Robyn will make a wonderful companion. Could you offer this special girl the comfortable home she so deserves?
