8/12/19 – We are so pleased to hear that Star has found a home, and here is a photo of her relaxing on the sofa with her new friend. So lovely to see!

Adorable Star, a sweet little Terrier Cross, is 11 years old and is looking for a new home due to a change in her owner’s work hours. She is being rehomed by Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool but for the time being is remaining with her current owner. If you could offer Star a home now, it would save her having to go into kennels.
Until recently Star lived with another dog, but he has sadly passed away and so Star is home alone a lot of the time and she is becoming distressed.
Star is a sweet-natured girl. She can be unsure of new people initially and may bark, however it doesn’t take her long to make friends and she enthusiastically greets visitors to the home.
Star cries when she sees other dogs when on the lead but is fine when she is off lead. She might be able to live with a compatible dog in her new home following successful introductions at the rescue. She has never really encountered cats before but will chase squirrels. She loves being out and about and particularly enjoys trips to the beach where she likes to splash about in the sea.
Star’s new home must have someone around for most or all of the day. She would particularly suit a quiet household, perhaps with a retired person or couple. Star currently lives with a young child and is also used to children visiting, but due to the upheaval of going to a new home Freshfields would like any children in Star’s new home to be aged 8+.
Star is not at Freshfields kennels. You must call to make an appointment to meet her if you are interested.
