Cookie came into the foster care of Oldies Club when his owner relocated abroad and he was facing the prospect of having to go into kennels, which are no place for an elderly gent with health problems. Although in good general health, Cookie had spinal arthritis which affected the coordination of his hind legs, making it a bit of a struggle to walk or climb steps.
Despite his mobility problem, 15 year old, Jack Russell Terrier, Cookie, had the sweetest nature and was a very gentle and placid boy. He had lived harmoniously with another dog, cat, chickens and a parrot. He was really good with people and children too.
Cookie’s favourite place was his comfy, cosy bed where he spent most of his time, though he still enjoyed several short, daily walks out and about to check out the interesting smells and keep those back legs working. Being a typical terrier, he was determined to soldier on to get the best out of life.
Farewell Cookie, now it’s time to run free.
