5/3/20 – We’ve heard great news: “Dotty left us for her new home today with two other dogs for company. She looks wonderful – has lost 3kg in weight and with the help of some daily Metacam, can move much more easily and can’t wait to go out for a walk, just bouncing around with excitement.”

Wonderful to see!

Dotty is a delightful 13-year-old Jack Russell x Dalmatian type girl who is with Chilterns Dog Rescue Society in Tring, Hertfordshire.

Dotty is of small/medium size, weighing in at a tubby 14 kg. She has a short white coat with black spots. During her life, Dotty has been a loyal companion to two older people in two different homes. She has outlived both; her last gentleman owner recently passed away suddenly. She is a sociable girl who likes people and other dogs but has never lived with cats, and even at her time of life could be tempted to chase them. She travels well by car and is well behaved on and off lead.

Dotty is urgently looking for her final retirement home, somewhere quiet with someone there for most of the day. She would enjoy easy access to a secure garden and short walks as her arthritis allows.

Dotty is a bit overweight. At some stage she has had surgery on her front legs, following an unknown accident, and she still has some metalwork in her legs. She was quite stiff and sore on arrival as she had not been receiving the daily Metacam she needs. It is anticipated she will improve with more regular care and medication. She has just had a dental.

Could you offer delightful old Dotty her forever home?
