04/07/2020 – Loretta has been adopted! Hooray!
Please meet Loretta, or little Lorrie as she is known. She is being cared for in a foster home in Cromer, Norfolk, provided by Safe Rescue while she hopes to be offered the perfect home she deserves.
Lorrie is a Crossbreed Terrier and is estimated to be about 8 years old. She has had a very sad past and was found in a house with her dying owner. She was feeding puppies who were extremely dehydrated and would not have survived much longer if they hadn’t been found.
Lorrie came into the U.K. recently, underweight, overbred, shy and timid. She wasn’t house-trained, was unable to walk on a lead and was nervous around humans. Since being in her foster home, she has started to take steps towards walking on a lead, toileting outside and enjoying human touch. Her new adopters will need to continue training her and building her trust to really bring out her loving character.
Lorrie enjoys being with people and would much rather sit on the sofa next to you than on her own elsewhere. Lorrie lives with children and a cat in her foster home; she tolerates the cat. Out on walks, Lorrie can be anxious of other dogs, so she may need to be the only dog in the household.
Lorrie has a heart murmur which is due to be reviewed by the vet. She is neutered, microchipped and an adoption fee and home-check apply.
