20/6/20 – Max has been rehomed!
This adorable gentleman is a true golden oldie at 17 years. Sadly, his owner was too poorly to take care of him any longer, so he’s looking for a retirement home to enjoy the rest of his days in comfort with the help of Dogs Trust Merseyside
Max is a small but sparky Patterdale Terrier and he’s settled into his present life quite well, given that he mostly snoozes. He’s friendly with strangers and quite likes a gentle fuss, but prefers this on his own terms in between naps. Max is house-trained.
Max still enjoys going out for a gentle potter, but doesn’t want to take his little legs too far anymore. He will walk with quiet dogs but he’s probably best being the only dog in the home, as he’s so elderly and losing his sight too. He would also prefer a home where any children are aged 12 and over, and will understand his need to be left in peace.
Max does have some kidney problems which is no surprise given his age. Any treatment that he may need will be paid for by Dogs Trust under their shared adoption scheme.
