14/2/20 – Princess is now reserved for a new home!
——————–
Princess is an 8-year-old Bichon Frise who is with Alpet Poundies Rescue near Llandysul, Ceredigion, in a foster home.
Princess was handed-in in a neglected state: she was very thin with nails painfully overgrown and her coat dirty and matted. But since having her nails and coat clipped and being fed properly, she’s now like a new dog! She has already regained weight and will look even better when her coat has grown some more and is white and curly.
In foster care, Princess likes to go for walks, adores her treats, and most of all she loves to curl up next to a nice warm human. She will burrow under the duvet and sleep lying against your leg, like a hot water bottle. She likes to have company much of the time.
Princess gets along with other dogs. She previously lived with an old male French Bulldog, and she has been fine in foster with a young female and an older male. She barks at the cat in her foster home though so would be better in a cat-free home. She has been around an 8-year-old girl and was great with her but hasn’t been seen with younger children.
She is OK in the car. On walks she likes to move at a good pace for a couple of miles and is happy having another couple of shorter walks during the day too. Between walks, she likes a snooze or to watch as you potter.
Princess is neutered and has no current health problems.
