25/4/20 – Lovely Wallace found a new home just before lockdown. Well done, Wallace!
—————
This sweet face belongs to Wallace, a really lovely 12-year-old Shar Pei x Labrador boy who is at Millbrook Animal Centre in Chobham, Surrey.
Wallace was signed over to RSPCA care after Inspectors discovered that his welfare needs were not being met. He had sore ears and his skin required some attention. After ear treatment and medicated baths he is now ready to find a caring forever home.
Wallace is looking for a quiet home where he can settle into a routine. He is best suited to an adult-only home and would like to have someone at home most of the day. Wallace is deaf but this isn’t a problem as he happily takes instructions via visual signals. Wallace walks well on the lead and he does need to remain on lead when on walks. His new home will need an enclosed garden for him to enjoy off-lead activity time, to sniff and mooch around in, and then he will happily return to you for a cuddle.
Wallace is friendly with other dogs he meets on his walks, but he will be best as the only dog in his new home so that he can lap up all the fuss and attention.
In his kennel, Wallace is a clean boy and he prefers to toilet on his walks, so he should be quick to house train. He enjoys sleeping so will need a comfy bed to snooze on. He does like to have company so will need someone at home most of the day to help him settle. The length of time he is left alone can then be increased slowly as he gets used to his new home environment.
Could you offer handsome, loveable Wallace a caring new home?
