07/12/2021: Jake has been adopted! Hooray!

Cute little Jake is a neutered, black and white Jack Russell Terrier who is being rehomed by Dumfried & Galloway Canine Rescue Centre in Scotland. Jake has had a couple of previous homes; his last one didn’t work out as he wasn’t coping well with the smaller animals in the house. He is now looking for a home with no other pets or young children.

Handsome Jake is 13 years old and loves a dander around the paddock. He also loves his food. He is your typical wee old man in that he likes attention but also enjoys his own space. This clever boy keeps his kennel clean which would suggest he is house-trained and he walks really well on the lead.

Not long after he arrived in rescue, Jake received life-changing surgery to remove a huge tumour from his shoulder. It’s important that his new owner understands that he has ongoing health issues which can be discussed on application.

Jake needs a owner who understands when to give him space and, with the right person, this little guy will make a great companion. He has bitten in the past so he needs a home with experience.
