14/1/2022 – Miller has been rehomed!

Miller was rescued from a private Romanian shelter, where he had been for the last 2 years, on a recent trip by Safe Rescue. Conditions there were far better than usual in Romania, but only basic needs are catered for nonetheless. Miller was prepared ready with a passport to travel and he was booked to come to the U.K. on the next available transport. He is now enjoying some cosy, home comforts in a foster home in Filby, Norfolk.
Miller arrived matted and bedraggled and it took several hours to uncover the actual dog from all the debris. Miller humoured this and allowed all the pulling around despite not having been touched by humans for a long time. The pampering session seemed to prove to him that people were actually okay and the added incentive of some pieces of ham soon won his friendship.
Miller is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered and he has a lovely, quiet temperament. He is simply grateful to have a comfortable bed and someone to follow around. He has a playful side but even that is calm and gentle. He mixes very well with other dogs but would also be okay as an only dog if someone was at home for a lot of the day. Fences and gates must be 5ft minimum and secure in his new home.
Unfortunately, Miller tested positive for heartworm a while back. He underwent treatment in Romania and now just needs one pill on the 25th of each month for six months to complete the cure. The medication comes with him and will cause no additional costs to adopters.
Note: Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from Safe Rescue must wear a slip lead on walks for the duration of their lives. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
