Sensitive Sabby is a 9 year old Newfoundland girl in the care of Foal Farm in Biggin Hill, Kent. Potential adopters will need to live near enough to make lots of visits to get to know her as she’s very shy of new people.

This gorgeous lady finds her gorgeousness to be more of a problem than a blessing. Everyone she meets wants to come straight up to her for a fuss and this really is a worry for her. She’s quite nervy about being touched especially if she doesn’t know someone. There must be some history of being handled roughly which she’s still affected by, bless her!

Sabby needs a home with practical, calm owners and no children. Not even visiting ones please because they’re really quite alarming. She would be happy living with other compatible dogs though. She gets on well with dogs. They’re so much easier to read than humans!

She is a joy to take out for walks and throws herself into whatever fun there is to be had. She’s loving and loyal once you’ve built up that trust with her. Her carer at Foal Farm said, “Having worked with Sabby for over a year now, we have developed a very special friendship, which has been created through understanding and trust.  I can now groom Sabby frequently and she has begun to enjoy it.  She comes to me for fuss and interaction.  We have been going out weekly away from the farm and she is an absolute pleasure to walk although being a Newfoundland lakes and streams are in Sabby’s mind there to be swum in!  Sabby is a very special girl who just needs to build a trustful relationship with her potential adopter.
