Tiggy is a gorgeous old girl with a very sad tale that she might tell you one day. She is 13 years old, a large Staffy Cross type, and has been through a lot in the last year. She really deserves to spend her final months/years in the comfort of a loving home.
Tiggy is being rehomed privately by Copdock Kennels & Cattery in Ipswich, Suffolk. They are happy to look after her to the end of days and give her the best care a dog can have in a boarding kennel environment, but they would really love to see her in a proper home with someone to care for her in the way that all old dogs should be cared for.
Tiggy drinks quite a lot, which might indicate that her kidneys are showing their age, so you would need to be prepared for finding that she isn’t in the best of health – the kennels will be happy to have her thoroughly health checked for anyone seriously interested in offering Tiggy a home, so that you know what to expect. This old girl deserves to be in a warm home rather than kennels, and have someone to spend her remaining months/years with. She ideally needs someone at home with her most of the time – either retired or a homeworker. Or she would enjoy being a companion to someone who could take her to work with them.
Tiggy has never been anything other than delightful with the kennel staff and she just wants to be loved. She does need to be your only dog and needs an adult-only home so that she can have peace and quiet as she is an elderly type of 13 year old. She is unsteady on her pins and has a number of teeth missing. She doesn’t need to be taken for long walks and would be quite happy just pottering in a nice big garden with an occasional outing.
This sweet old lady just wants to be someone’s companion as she oozes love and simply wants cuddles.
Copdock Kennels & Cattery will carry out the usual checks on enquirers and have confirmed that they would take Tiggy back if the adoption didn’t work out for any reason.
