17/10/22 Sadly Billie has unexpectantly passed away. Our thoughts are with his fosterers.
Billie is a 12-year-old Bichon Frise boy who came into the Oldies Club care in August 2021 due to his owners’ health issues.
Billie is a lovely little lad but unfortunately it was discovered that his liver isn’t functioning as well as it should be. There were concerns this may be due to a tumour, gall stones, or blocked bile duct. It was also found that Billie suffers with Cushings and needs to be on medication for the rest of his days. Due to his ongoing treatment and his need for ultrasounds Oldies Club made the decision to place Billie in our sponsor dog scheme, which means he will remain at his lovely foster home on a permanent basis, with the charity paying his vet bills for the rest of his life.
Billie hates being separated from his fosterers and being on his own so they go out of their way to take him most places with them. Billie loves going out and about but unfortunately he cannot manage long walks so his fosterers have a great buggy for him and he’s quite happy to go in when he’s tired. He gets out for a walk twice a day and every time they go somewhere in the car Billie goes too. He’s a great little traveller, no problem as long as he is with them.
