Handsome Coco sadly finds himself looking for a lovely, new retirement home. His owner’s health meant he could no longer care for Coco, so he is now safely in the care of Dogs Trust Merseyside until his new person comes along.

Coco is a special, older gentleman at 13 years. He’s a very gentle boy who’s a bit unsteady on his legs but, now that he is on some pain relief, he’s much happier and enjoys his walks. He’s not thrilled about being in kennels, but he has settled and loves to see his carers.

Although he’s a little unsure about new situations, Coco does like to explore and he takes his time. He would be a wonderful companion for someone who may be older or less mobile, and who just wants a pal for company.

Coco gets along with dogs and although he may have a bark or two initially, he will happily walk with them. He is probably suited to being the only dog as this is what he’s used to and and might find another pal a little too much, but it’s possible that he could live with an older female dog. Coco is house-trained and can live with children of higher school age, as he is worried by younger ones due to having his tail pulled.
