24/10/22 – Lovely Feenix has found his new home!
——————
Feenix is a lovely 9-year-old Lurcher who is with Evesham Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue, in a foster home in Worcestershire. He is 26″ to the shoulder.
Feenix is settling into his foster home nicely and (despite what it currently says on the rescue’s website dog summary page) he is now ready for rehoming. This gorgeous lad is not the most active of dogs, possibly due to the current hot weather. He has tried all the available soft spots in his foster home: dog bed (indoor and out), sofa, chair and bed. It seems that his favourite is the bed and he spends most of the day on it, especially as the bedroom is coolest.
Feenix has spent several days with his foster carer’s 5-year-old granddaughter in the house with no problem; they seem to respect each other’s space. He can be rehomed to live with children aged 8+. He has met several dogs while out walking, with the occasional ‘grump and grumble’. This is most obvious when he meets sighthounds of a similar size to himself. Feenix is still wary of most humans and a bit hand shy.
He walks well on the lead, more of a trot now than his original slouch, and is comfortable in the car but so far has only done short journeys. He has been clean and quiet in the house. Feenix will suit a quiet home, either as an only dog, or with a similar age/attitude female dog.
Could you offer Feenix a lovely, comfortable new life?
