Poor Rosie was found living on the streets in Romania as part of a pack who were being fed by a local lady. Her adorable, little grey face and her back bald from mange broke everyone’s hearts and they couldn’t bear to her to have to battle through another winter. Now Rosie is very happily living in a foster home in South Shields provided by Safe Rescue. and ready for a loving home to call her own.
Rosie is a small-sized Crossgreed of around 11 years old. After being taken to a safe shelter where her mange was treated, she finally got her turn to come to the U.K., and it’s been an absolute joy to watch her discover the lovely things that life has to offer.
Rosie loves the soft beds and nice food, face rubs and a kind voice. Her little tail wags and her whole body wiggles every time she sees her foster carer (especially if she has got wafer thin chicken). She does take a little bit of time to warm up to you and she can still be very shy with people she doesn’t know.
Rosie needs to live with another dog. She enjoys doggy company and, after a lifetime of living as a pack, it’s unfair to expect her to live an only dog. In the home, fences and gates must be 5ft minimum and secure. Rosie would suit a fairly quiet home with no small children where she will be spoiled rotten and have a chance to make up for a lifetime of missing out
Rosie is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
Note: Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from Safe Rescue must wear a slip lead on walks for the duration of their lives. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
