17/10/2022: Stella has been adopted! Hooray!
Pretty Stella is a German Shepherd cross of about 10 years, about 45cm in height, living in foster care in Malvern, Worcestershire through Nirina Dog Rescue. You might remember that she was featured a few weeks ago with her best friend Sully.
He was adopted but the family couldn’t take on both dogs. She’s very lonely without her buddy to follow around and snuggle up to at night. Her confidence has gone right down. She urgently needs to find her forever home with another calm, friendly dog for company. She won’t steal their toys because she never learnt how to play with them. She does love fuss though!
Stella can live with confident cats and dog-savvy children but she does need a peaceful home with a predictable lifestyle.
She’s timid and she will always need time to adjust to new situations. Reassurance helps as she’s a very affectionate girl.
What will help her most of all is having a confident dog friend to show her the ropes. When she had her best friend Sully to shadow, she was a relaxed and happy dog. Hopefully she can find that kind of bond again.
Before being in foster care in the UK, Stella had spent years in a scary kennel environment in Bosnia. She is house trained and no trouble at all in the home. She likes having a garden to potter and relax in.
As well as fuss and cuddles…
…she loves treats!
