11/3/22 – Tigger has found a home!
—————
Dear old Tigger still has some bounce left in him at age 13. He’s in the care of Jerry Green Dog Rescue in Gilberdyke, East Yorkshire. It’s sad to think of any older dog in kennels but even more so because Tigger recently lost his best friend Toby.
Hopefully his new human will soon find him and whisk him away to a retirement of short walks followed by sofa cuddles!
Tigger is a true gent, very well behaved and affectionate. As his name suggests, he has a playful side and likes to root around in any bags left lying around for new toys or treats!
Tigger still loves his walks but shorter ones suit him best. He has a touch of arthritis for which he takes supplements. Snuffling in woodland with his human nearby is probably his favourite sort of walk. He can be wary of unknown dogs so it’s best he’s walked in areas where you’re not likely to meet many other dogs. Although he got on brilliantly with Toby, it’s thought a home as an only pet is needed for his golden years. He doesn’t need all that “whose toy is whose” business at his age.
He’ll also love having all the fuss to himself. He’s a very soppy boy! He loves snoozing in his bed but loves snuggling up to her person even more. He could live with older teenagers as long as his nap times are guaranteed. He does like a good ball game so a garden is a must.
