7/6/23 – We are so pleased to hear that Angel has found her perfect new home!
——————-
Angel is a gorgeous 8-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is being rehomed privately by her current carers. She is in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire.
This is a sad story as her current carers took Angel in, in the hope of reuniting her with her owner, but unfortunately her owner is undergoing a life changing operation and will no longer be able to care for Angel. This beautiful dog has been passed around from home to home in the short space of time since leaving her original owner. She is very much loved and cared for, but her current home is not suitable long term as she is having to be left for very long hours while they go out to work.
Angel has a lovely temperament and gets on fine with dogs she meets at the park, but she didn’t get on with the dog in her previous temporary home, so she would be best suited to a home where she is the only dog. That is what she is used to, after all. Angel doesn’t like cats.
Although she isn’t currently living with children, she is said to have been around older children in the past and was great with them, so a home with visiting children or resident older, kind and dog-savvy children could be considered for Angel.
Angel won’t mind a home where you leave her while you go out for shopping etc., and she might be suitable for a part-time worker as she is fine being left alone and doesn’t bark. It just isn’t fair to leave her for the very long hours that are currently necessary.
Angel hasn’t been a very active dog previously, but her carers are starting her fitness journey with one 20/30 minute walk a day. She will enjoy continuing her fitness journey with her new people. Angel is good in the car so she will be happy to travel to nice places with you for fun outings.
More than anything else, Angel loves a cuddle, bless her heart. She also enjoys playing ball in the garden and particularly enjoys a meaty chew!
Angel is a bit overweight, and her carers noticed that she was drinking a lot, so had her checked over at the vets. They did a urine test but didn’t detect anything, but gave her a course of antibiotics just in case it helps. Angel is neutered.
Could you offer this very beautiful Angel a fabulous new life?
Angel is being rehomed privately by Isabel, who has confirmed that she will take Angel back if her new home doesn’t work out for any reason. Prospective adopters will be carefully homechecked.
