11/4/24 – We are so pleased to hear that Geordie has found a wonderful home!
——————
Dear old Geordie is a Crossbreed boy of medium size (18kg), age 9-10 years, who’s in the care of The Responsible Dog Rescue at their kennels in Southport Merseyside. He’s available to adopt or long term foster. Before they brought him to the UK, it’s thought he’d spent his whole life in Romania in a public shelter.
Geordie is good with other dogs and fine with confident cats. He loves having fun with his dog friends!
He’d prefer a home with no children and with a woman as his main person as he’s wary of men.
Having said that, the rescue have been putting in a lot of time and effort getting him used to men, with the help of pieces of sausage, and he’s definitely improved!
He now even chooses to sit near the man who’s invested all the time and treats into gaining his trust.
Geordie spent quite a while in a temporary foster home where he really got the hang of home comforts and companionship.
He goes on walks with his favourite human but not with anyone else at the moment. He loves spending time outside. As long as the garden in his new home is big enough, he would be fine with just pottering there, rather than going further afield. Home is where the treats are!
One of his ears is disfigured from a long untreated infection in the bad old days. He is in good health now, neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated. He will have full support from the charity and any vet bills will be covered for the rest of his life. He’s still very beautiful!
Helping this lovely boy by giving him a peaceful, safe retirement home will be extremely rewarding. He will repay that kindness with endless love and loyalty.
