Sadly, Harrold went into a Romanian shelter in a weak and emaciated state with very little hair. In the time he’s been there, his condition has improved but he’s still thin and in poor condition. He was very intimidated by the other dogs in his kennel. As lovely as it was to spend time with him and get him out for a walk during Safe Rescue’s trip in early October, putting him back in that pen was heart wrenching as he was initially afraid to move for fear that drawing attention to him would lead them to attack him. The situation settled, but it was very clear why he was always in a hut and rarely seen out of it.
Harrold is a medium-sized Crossbreed aged around 10 years old. He’s now enjoying life in a foster home in Wymondham, Norfolk, provided by Safe Rescue and so deserves an amazing retirement home where he can be thoroughly pampered and spoiled.
Harrold mixes beautifully with other dogs, but he would also be happy to be the only dog in the home. He is completely disinterested in cats so could happily live with those too. He would be fine to mix with respectful children of 8 years plus.
Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
