So sadly, Hughie was a cruelty case and has been waiting for a court case to release him. He has been beaten regularly and is elderly with weak back legs. Rescue Remedies, near Gatwick, Surrey, offered him a place saving his life. Hughie is now enjoying life in temporary foster care in South Godstone, Surrey. Please watch his lovely videos and read more information here.
Hughie is a 13 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier (born 17.8.10 and is a very friendly gent. He has weak back kegs and so prefers shorter walks. He is a rather special boy who deserves nothing but love and warmth.
One volunteer said, “He is super chilled, ignores all the dogs on his way out of the kennel block (which can be quite loud!). He is really friendly, takes treats nicely, walks calmly, loves to sniff and generally loves to potter. He is a bit weak on his back legs, but once he gets going, he is in his element. For a dog that has had a really rough life, he continues to put his trust in humans to be kind to him. I’m just in awe of him. He melts your heart as he just wants a cuddle and love.”
Hughie is now neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated.
