7/12/23 – Poppy has found a home!
—————-

Sweetie-pie Poppy is an 11-year-old Bullbreed lady in the care of Forest of Dean Dog Rescue in Gloucestershire. She’s available to either adopt or as a long-term foster. She can live with children from age 12 but wants to be the only pet at home. She’s not interested in other dogs on walks but she would want all her people’s love to herself at home!

Poppy is an active girl who loves her walks! She is strong on the lead so needs fit owners who will continue her training on this. She’s a joy to take out as she really loves charging about with a ball as well as exploring the smellscape.

Poppy is such a beautiful girl who is still very much young at heart. She absolutely loves people and likes to have lots of fuss and attention. A home where she will have plenty of opportunities for a cuddle on the sofa is Poppy’s dream! She likes to have someone around the house with her most of the time but she will be fine if you are just popping out for short periods.

Poppy generally ignores other dogs, but she does not like them up in her face. She travels brilliantly in the car, has great manners, and knows basic commands: sit, down, and wait. She is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has had flea and worm treatment. She has no current medical needs. If opting for a long-term foster, her family will need to be able to take her to Coleford or Monmouth if required.
