Cheerful boy Rasta is a 9-year-old chocolate Staffy in the care of Dumfries & Galloway Canine Rescue. He wants to be the only pet in the home. He ignores other dogs on walks but wouldn’t want to share his humans’ affections!

Rasta was a stray so there’s no history on him, just the evidence of what a good and loving boy he is with everyone at the rescue. Everybody there loves him! He’s very affectionate and can get a bit giddy with emotions at times which is why he can only live with older children, age 12+. Smaller people could easily get bowled over by his enthusiasm!

Rasta loves his toys and he loves his walks. He used to be strong on the lead but is much better these days. It’s only when he smells a really interesting smell and he urgently needs to get to it that he forgets his manners. He needs owners who are reasonably strong for these occasions but he is generally a relaxing and fun companion to walk. Gallivanting off-lead in a secure area with a ball is his favourite thing!

Rasta obviously needs a secure garden for sunbathing, pottering and grass-rolling. He’d like a home where he won’t be left for too long on his own. He’s completely clean in his kennel so it’s believed he’s fully house trained. He very much wants to please his humans and shower them with love!
