7/12/23 – Rehomed
Ruby is a gorgeous 9-year-old Staffy Cross who is with RSPCA Derby.
This lovely middle-aged lady does not realise she is getting older and still enjoys acting like a youngster. She loves playing and running around, and enjoys entertaining herself with her toys. She’s also starting to learn that playing is even more fun when she brings the toys back to you! Ruby can be quite strong on the lead but does calm down after walking a while.
Ruby would prefer to be the only pet in her new home. She is OK with other dogs on walks but can be too full-on with them. She’d like someone to be at home most of the time who will slowly help her feel comfortable with being left for short periods. She can live with children but it would be best if they are older children as Ruby does not realise she is on the large side (a sturdy 24kg) and will just flop herself down on you! She also sometimes forgets herself and jumps up for treats, but the rescue is working on this.
