22/8/23 – We are so happy to hear the news that beautiful Sally has found a new loving home!

Sally is a pretty Lurcher lady, aged 13, who is with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, at their Brands Hatch centre.
Gorgeous Sally was a stray who arrived in a neglected state. She has had lots of medical care, and her new owners will be able to speak to Battersea’s vets about this.
At Battersea, Sally loves nothing more than spending time in the offices, snoozing on her big comfy bed. Despite her age she still has moments of trotting about like a lamb, and bouncing around in the paddock.
Sally loves being around people and she enjoys receiving lots of fuss and attention. In new environments, Sally struggles to settle initially, so her new owners will need to have plenty of time and patience for lovely Sally, to help her to gradually become happy and comfortable. She prefers people to other dogs and would like to be your only pet (she can’t live with cats). Sally will sometimes bark at dogs, but she has also walked nicely next to other dogs. If she could have a similar-sized friend to walk with on occasion, that would be nice for her.
It is not known whether Sally has ever lived in a home. She has spent a little time in a foster home, and needed help with her housetraining, but she did start to pick up the routine. She will simply need to be taken out regularly and praised for performing. It’s just the same as with a puppy.
This lovely lady is looking for new owners who have previously owned a dog and who can help her make the most of her life. She has poor sight and hearing, so a private, secure garden where she can spend her days pottering and relaxing is essential. She could live with a single person or couple, but you will need to be able to spend lots of time with Sally and not leave her for long periods. She could live with older teenagers but she would like to be the only dog in the home.
