19/11/23 – Gorgeous Sheba has been adopted. Yay!

Sheba is a wonderful Great Dane aged 6 years 3 months. She’s slightly under the oldies age limit, but being a giant breed we make an exception. She’s with Jerry Green’s South Lincolnshire centre in Algarkirk.
Queen Sheba is a gorgeous girl but can be quite worried when meeting people for the first time. If you are interested in offering her a home you will need to be able to visit her at the centre a few times so that she can bond with you before going home. She has made very good friends with all the staff at JG and they always say how much of a cuddle-bug Sheba is.
She would prefer to live in a home with people who have experience with Danes or other large breed dogs, and no children under the age of 14. It would be great if her new owners are home most of the time as she enjoys the company of people. If you do need to leave her you would need to build up the time she is left gradually.
Sheba could potentially live with another dog, but it would be best if it is not too small a dog and is calm in temperament. Sheba does still like to play but she also needs lots of time to rest and snooze during the day. She would need to meet any potential dog companion at the centre first to make sure they are a good match. She would prefer not to live with any small animals or cats.
Anyone who has owned a Great Dane will realise that Sheba is an older girl. She does have some stiff joints and she needs pain relief to help her feel a bit better. She can easily be spooked so would love to live in a quiet area, in a home with a nice garden she can stroll around in. Access to quiet walks would be great, but she doesn’t need lots of exercise. If you have a sofa big enough, then please do offer this beauty a new home!
