01/09/2023: Zumma has been adopted! Hooray!
Zumma is a steady Staffy boy of 11 years in the care of Rescue Remedies. He’s staying at their boarding kennels near Gatwick, on the Surrey/West Sussex border.
Staff and volunteers have said the following about this lovely, sprightly boy…
“Zumma is a sweet soul. He enjoyed pottering around the paddock, doing his own thing. He loves to explore and sniff and mark. We then had a walk around the woods. Zumma enjoyed greeting all the staff who were having their lunch.
“Zumma has been impressing us all. He is agile and jumped straight into the crate in the dog mobile yesterday and settled on his 30 minute journey to our vets. Greeted everyone and was very obedient stepping on to the scales and walked perkily off with the vet nurse to disappear behind the scenes.
“5 hours later after a rest, neutered, 3 teeth removed and the others cleaned, Zumma was all smiles as he reappeared from behind reception. A volunteer was asking about him as I returned from placing him in the paddock and off he went with them, sauntering into the woods.
That same day, the volunteer said, “He’s a happy and friendly senior soul who wasn’t bothered by the other dogs. He likes being petted and is quite affectionate. He walks well and is pretty agile. Looks good for his age.”
Here’s a clip of Zumma meeting another dog nicely…
Here he is in a secure paddock checking out all the messages left by other dogs…
