Handsome Amadeus is a 10 yr old, 16kg, medium size cross breed, currently in foster in Norfolk, and looking for his forever home by Nirina Dog Adoptions. This gorgeous boy really deserves a loving home, in which to spend his twilight years.
He spent a long time in rescue in Bosnia, but is now settled here into his foster home, where he is enjoying some well deserved home comforts and the company of 2 other resident dogs. He could be rehomed as an only dog, or with others, but they would need to be calm and not boisterous, so that Amadeus can enjoy a quiet retirement.
Amadeus still loves a nice walk and is good with dogs that he meets outside. He walks well on the lead and is a real pleasure to be with. He is described as the perfect gent !
He loves to be made a fuss of, but will equally settle quietly at your feet, and you wouldn’t know he was there. He wants for very little, just to be loved and a calm home to call his own.
His trademark is that Amadeus has the longest tongue, which falls out of the side of his mouth, when he’s had a good walk ! His eyes are starting to cloud with age, but his sight is still good. His hearing is selective, as with many older dogs, but he is otherwise a healthy boy.
He is described as an “easy” dog to have around the home. He is such a good lad, settles well and can be left for a few hours. He is housetrained.
Amadeus could live with children, but it is felt that he needs a quiet and calm home, and so any children would need to be older and respectful to our gentle boy.
