Adorable Archie came into the care of the Senior Staffy Club sadly from the Pound after completing his 7 days but nobody came for him. He is currently in kennels in Worcester, but he can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any adopter should be willing to travel to meet him at least twice where he is now.
Archie is a Staffy Cross who is larger than the average Staffy and is 8 years old. Little is known about his history but he is a friendly, cheeky and happy boy who often forgets his size. Archie knows all his basic training, but he gets so excited about being out of his kennel and sometimes has to be reminded. He is a loveable goofball who is very popular with his volunteer walkers.
Archie is a fit boy and generally walks well on the lead. He can be strong at times when he finds a scent that he like the smell of. He can sometimes react when he passes barking dogs, though it hasn’t appeared aggressive and he will walk on when asked. He hasn’t been dog tested, though he has walked well in the company of another calm dog at a safe distance. He hasn’t shown any reaction to passing traffic down the lanes. Archie enjoys the local, enclosed paddock where he loves having a sniff around and a good roll. However, he didn’t show any interest in a ball.
Archie would need to be the only pet in the home. He is always keen to receive treats and so he would need to be rehomed with older children aged 14 plus. Being a stray, it’s not sure whether he is house trained. He is, however, very clean in his kennel and hasn’t had any accidents in the sofa room.
Archie is always a very good boy with the vets and has had a full health check, including blood tests which the vets confirmed all are within the normal ranges for his age. Archie has been neutered whilst in care, which he has fully recovered from. He also is microchipped and vaccinated.
