These two cuties are Bonny and Kizzy, an inseparable pair of Staffy ladies, aged 9 years. Dogs Friends took them in after they’d suffered neglect, having been used for breeding. They now enjoy home comforts and showering their foster carer with love! They can be rehomed around the Somerset, Bath and Bristol areas and are currently in Bristol.
Bonny and Kizzy are very affectionate dogs who love humans of all ages. They can live with children from age 8. They want to be the only pets at home, getting all the fuss!
They are good girls in the house and can be left for a couple of hours once they feel at home. They’re responsive to commands, such as being told to stop barking when someone knocks on the door. They adore welcoming visitors when you let someone in but do like to alert you to anyone approaching.
Bonny and Kizzy like meeting new people out and about. They can get excited and jump up but, again, stop when they’re told to. The don’t like meeting other dogs. They don’t bark at them but there’s definite tension and possible tellings off if another dog gets too close. It’s easy enough to steer them away from oncoming dogs though. They love their walks and can be excessively keen to get going at first but then settle down to walk nicely on the lead. They’re both happy going on car journeys as well.
Bonny and Kizzy have quite different personalities. For instance, Kizzy is a real foody. She’s always first and fastest to eat her meals, so you have to put their bowls apart to stop her moving on to Bonny’s after she’s finished her own! She very treat orientated and always alert to what you might have in your pocket.
Kizzy is a big fan of lap cuddles. With Bonny, the more hugs and belly rubs the better. Bonny will normally join in the lap cuddles, when she sees Kizzy getting the love. As long as Kizzy knows you’re in the house, she’s happy to relax in another room. Bonny likes to be in the same room with you most of the time. One of her favourite spots to sleep is on the kitchen floor while dinner’s prepared. These two shiny-hearted ladies are robust, joyful and will always put a smile on your face with their cute and goofy ways.
