‘OLD DOG OF THE WEEK’ FEATURES NEW PHOTOS AND A FRESH WRITE-UP FOR AN OVERLOOKED OLDIE THAT HAS BEEN ON OUR WEBSITE FOR A WHILE BUT IS STILL WAITING FOR A NEW HOME.
Please help Charlie by sharing this page!
Snuggly boy Charlie is an 8-year-old Lurcher in the care of Jerry Green Dog Rescue in South Lincolnshire, where he’s in a foster home waiting for his forever people to find him.
Charlie can live with considerate children from age 7. He wants to be the only pet at home so he can have all the fuss to himself. He previously lived with his best friend Tilly but she was rehomed separately and it’s felt that life as the centre of attention would suit him best these days.
Charlie is a calm and gentle boy who is clean and well behaved in the home. He can be left for a couple of hours, up to 4 hours once he’s settled in and knows the routine. He is a dab hand at snoozing!
Charlie likes peaceful walks, preferring to avoid meeting other dogs. He’s good in the car and happy to go on adventures in quite, countryside places with his people.
Like most Lurchers, Charlie enjoys the occasional zoomies when the mood takes him (as you can see in this short clip) but what he really excels at is lounging elegantly and snuggling up with his people. He’s a very soppy boy!
Charlie will need a secure garden for pottering, sunbathing and zoomies. The rescue require fences to be 6 feet high to make sure no unexpected adventures occur.
Charlie is a homebody by nature and loves being near his people more than anything.
