Cookie is 15 years old and he’s a handsome white and brown Parson/Jack Russell Terrier who is being rehomed privately by his owner.
Little Cookie is an older boy but he still has plenty of energy and loves a walk. He needs a home where he is your only dog, but he is OK about meeting dogs outside when on walks. He has lived with a cat before, but not for a number of years, so it isn’t known how he would feel about living with a cat now.
Cookie needs a quiet home with an older person or couple who can spend most of the day with him. He can be left for a short time but he doesn’t really like to be on his own. Children would be too much for him as he enjoys the quieter things in life and he is frightened by the unpredictability of youngsters.
He still loves a walk and he happily walks for around 30-60 minutes a day. He’s OK with a short car journey and he has also been on caravan holidays in the past which he loved. He enjoys having a little play now and again, and his favourite thing is to destroy a cuddly toy. He also enjoys a game of shake-the-sock, which is very funny to see!
Cookie isn’t neutered. His owner is not aware of him having any health conditions but he does have a little cough now and again so that might need to be investigated.
Could you offer Cookie a quiet home as your only dog?
Cookie is being rehomed privately by his owner, who has confirmed they will take him back if his new home doesn’t work out for any reason. Prospective adopters will be carefully home-checked.
